Fucking Firefox Extensions

January 9, 2006

I’m so mad right now, I spent three hours trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with my Firefox. I couldn’t install any extensions or themes. So after digging out some advice that said to simply delete my profile I backed everything up and created a new one. Immediately I tested it out and I could install extensions! Yay, but my joy was not long lived.

By then I’d figured out that it was an extension, so I started to uninstall them one by one (disabling didn’t work). I found out that it was my beloved SessionSaver. Now every time I want to install something I have to uninstall it for it to work!

Talk about three hours wasted.

That’s why you should switch to Opera. I’m mostly digging the sleek design and low memory usage.

I don’t see any reason to use Opera, if someone is going to haggle over an average of three seconds of loading time and five minutes to pick and choose extensions then they shouldn’t be on the computer.

Firefox comes slim and unbloated whereas Opera has a lot of useless shit crammed in, while it is slightly faster in loading time for some people it usually doesn’t make that much of a difference on even old PC’s.
